With a view to develop Olympia students to be owners of knowledge and skills of global citizens in 21st century, we have been implementing the Mission Statement

Why should schools provide Core Subjects program? 

The Olympia Schools are Vietnamese schools with American common core standards. Therefore, each student should be a good Vietnamese ambassador to the world; he/she should have basic and essential knowledge about Vietnam nation’s tradition, culture and history. As the result, the Schools’ Core Subjects Program follows all requests on knowledge, skills and attitudes by the Ministry of Education and Training.

What should students know and be able to do as result of a quality Core Subjects program?

All schools across Vietnam use the National Standards; meanwhile the Olympia Schools combine Vietnamese National Standards along with Common Core Standards.  Building on the best of existing state standards, the Common Core State Standards provide clear and consistent learning goals to help prepare students for college, career, and life. The standards clearly demonstrate what students are expected to learn at each grade level, so that every parent and teacher can understand and support their learning.
